What is ValpoDm?
Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement involving college and high school students at more than 250 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. The Valparaiso University Dance Marathon started in 2012 and just celebrated the 6th Annual Dance Marathon for Spring 2018 to benefit the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago! Over 500 students and alumni participated in the event and helped raise $70, 075.06!
The mission of Valparaiso University Dance Marathon is to raise money for the patients and families of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Together with the University and Valparaiso communities, we stand in solidarity and connection with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other Dance Marathons across the nation. Founded on the idea that all children need and deserve comfort, treatment, and hope in the face of illness, we believe that the Valparaiso University Dance Marathon is not just a philanthropic campaign, but a celebration of life. Our mission is simple: to dance for those who can't.
